2. Legal Framework and Regulations in Czech

The Czech WEEE system is deeply integrated into national law and directly transposes the European WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). The primary legislation governing these obligations is Act No. 542/2020 Coll., on End-of-Life Products, which outlines the specific duties regarding the take-back, processing, and financing of WEEE. 4. EPR Categories for WEEE

The Czech Republic classifies electrical and electronic equipment into six open-scope categories:

Temperature exchange equipment (e.g., refrigerators, air conditioners).
Screens and monitors (>100 cm²).
Lamps (e.g., LED, fluorescent).
Large equipment (>50 cm dimension).
Small equipment (<50 cm dimension).
Small IT and telecommunication equipment.

5. EPR Registration Process in Czech

Crossed-Out Wheelie Bin Symbol: Mandatory on all EEE.
Date Mark / Black Bar: Indicates products placed after August 13, 2005.
Producer Identification: Brand or registration details must be visible.
